Does God have it out for poor people this fall or something?
Flooded Central America Hit by Quake: "A moderate earthquake rocked Central America on Friday, causing the collapse of a rain-damaged highway bridge in Guatemala and sending thousands of frightened Salvadoran residents into the streets."

Last week I heard that a few older ladies in my church said that the hurricane that wiped out New Orleans was "God's will" because it was such an evil place. I guess they don't like jazz and blues. I was displeased with their theology but thought "consider the source." So your joking about such thinking isn't so funny to me since obviously some people believe that God's will would ever be destructive. Perhaps the question is why mostly poor people die in such natural disasters. That's a human problem!

Maybe you're right. Another hurricane is heading for Central America...it's name is Wilma. This is more hurricanes in one season since the 60s and we still have a month to go.
