New Pics Up

I have a couple new Picasa Web Albums, one of my day-to-day life in Salvador and one of my pictures from Brasilia.

Again, I need to do more organizing and captioning. I'll add the link to the sidebar, too, so it'll be easy for people to check them out.

date stamps; albums

How much do the date stamps on my photos bug people? They bug me some, but it's also nice to be sure not to lose the date, though that's also encoded in the file, I believe. My camera always defaults to that when I change the batteries. Now I feel like I want all the Brazil pics to be consistant.

I'm dumping all my pics into the Brazil 2008 album. Over time I'll sort them into albms by location and delete the really bad ones.

Pics from the first three weeks

The nagging got me to do it. My picassa page has the pics up. I haven't sorted them, added captions, linked to maps, or even rotated them, but there they are. Enjoy! I may put a couple in blog posts, but then again I may not.

Wednesday when I got to my program director's apartment for seminar my friend Mike who lives with him is going to use his laptop to transfer pics from my camera's card to my usb drive. So Thursday or Friday I should be able to put up some pics.

my new Picasa album with Alaska pics

I'm a picture parasite and let Ben take all the pictures while he was here visiting. I've started the process of putting some of them on a new Picasa site (Google's photo site). 23hq only allows 30 pic uploads a month and Ben took a lot. Picasa allows 1 GB, so I'm checking it out. I still like 23hq, though the use of maps in Picasa is particularly useful with these photos, giving people an idea of where we went.

I realize I may not have kept people up to date with what I'm doing. I came to AK for a wedding and to visit my dad. I head to CA on the 15th to meet with family and bury my grandparents' cremains. Then I'm back in NC on the 20th, starting classes on the 21st. My comp is Sep. 10-11. I should get back to studying for that. It's a pretty pleasant place to study.
